Rocky Mountain Catalysis Society Annual Symposium

The 40th Annu­al Rocky Moun­tain Catal­y­sis Soci­ety Sym­po­sium will be held at Mon­tana State Uni­ver­si­ty in Boze­man, Mon­tana, on May 28–29, 2026. This in-per­son sym­po­sium will bring togeth­er grad­u­ate stu­dents, post-docs, fac­ul­ty, and indus­try researchers for two days of catal­y­sis research pre­sen­ta­tions and networking.

High­lights of the pro­gram include the Bur­well Lec­ture­ship deliv­ered by Yong Wang (Wash­ing­ton State University/Pacific North­west Nation­al Labra­to­ry), the Cia­pet­ta Lec­ture­ship by David West (SABIC), as well as invit­ed and select­ed pre­sen­ta­tions from researchers across acad­e­mia and indus­try. The sym­po­sium will also fea­ture a net­work­ing lunch and a grad­u­ate stu­dent poster recep­tion, pro­vid­ing oppor­tu­ni­ties for dis­cus­sion and collaboration.

Par­tic­i­pants are encour­aged to extend their stay and explore near­by attrac­tions such as Yel­low­stone Nation­al Park, Big Sky Resort, Hyalite Canyon, and Bozeman’s local breweries.

The Rocky Moun­tain Catal­y­sis Soci­ety is a sci­en­tif­ic orga­ni­za­tion that pro­motes the advance­ment of het­ero­ge­neous catal­y­sis, sur­face sci­ence, react­ing sys­tems, reac­tion mech­a­nisms, and kinet­ics by orga­niz­ing annu­al meet­ings for sci­en­tists and engi­neers in the Rocky Moun­tain region, includ­ing Mon­tana, Ida­ho, Wyoming, Neva­da, Utah, Col­orado, Ari­zona, and New Mexico.
