2025 CSNY Excellence in Catalysis Awardee, Prof. Marco Castaldi

The Catal­y­sis Soci­ety of Met­ro­pol­i­tan New York (CSNY) is excit­ed to announce Pro­fes­sor Mar­co Castal­di as the 2025 recip­i­ent of the CSNY Excel­lence in Catal­y­sis Award. 

This award acknowl­edges his out­stand­ing con­tri­bu­tions to both applied and fun­da­men­tal research in catal­y­sis, reac­tion engi­neer­ing, com­bus­tion, and waste-to-ener­gy sys­tems. His decades of inno­va­tion have made sig­nif­i­cant impact at the inter­face of basic research and com­mer­cial­ized tech­nolo­gies, as evi­denced by his diverse col­lab­o­ra­tive efforts with researchers across acad­e­mia and indus­try. Prof. Castal­di is cur­rent­ly the Pro­fes­sor of Chem­i­cal Engi­neer­ing and Direc­tor of the Earth Sys­tem Sci­ence and Envi­ron­men­tal Engi­neer­ing Pro­gram at The Grove School of Engi­neer­ing at The City Col­lege of New York (CCNY), CUNY.
